Shaped Clouds [URP] Demo
[This is a demo for an asset on the Unity Asset Store]
The purpose of it is to provide a benchmark on various devices. Showing what kind of performance to expect.
Also, I should probably mention, but the numbers on the screenshots are using a GT 1030, it's not a good graphics card and it's really being killed by the terrain and shadows.
I recommend using the desktop versions, the Web version will target refresh rate (I think? almost sure), as well as the Android version. The desktop standalone versions will run uncapped, which will be useful to actually get numbers, since a computer better than mine probably won't struggle to hit the maximum frame rate.
How to use
On PC (including Web), you can right-click to toggle control of the camera. On the bottom, you can adjust look sensitivity. Alternatively, you can drag outside of any menu controls to rotate the camera, which is how you do it on Android.
To the left, you can use the arrows to switch the cloud configuration from a few presets. They vary in amount of layers and resolution, covering a few different possible use cases. The checkbox in the middle will toggle clouds entirely, useful to check how much of an impact they have on frames.
To the right, you can similarly control the scene.
On the bottom, you also have a day/night cycle control, click on it and drag to rotate the Sun. You can also use the slider to control the speed it rotates on its own, including all the way to the left, to pause it entirely.
Click the FPS display to toggle everything else and "Close" on the message in the center to dismiss it.
The UI was made with landscape aspect ratios in mind, it'll look weird in portrait.
